| Question: I have a question, a concern. My concern is IMBRA compliance. I do not understand the total requirements of the law concerning each individual marriage website. I have been told that there could develop a problem with K-1 immigration/consular interview if IBRA form is not addressed and completed. I do not see the form on your website for the US citizen to fill out. Does the American citizen need to fill out this form for every marriage/dating website? I would like to begin corresponding on your site but I do not want to create problems for myself. |

Answer: First of all, our company is registered in Russia and complies with Russian legislation. Russia has its own law that controls the third person's personal information exchange. It is called “The Third Persons Act” and has been working for many years already. According to it, the personal information of a person cannot be submitted to somebody by the third person without his/her consent. That is why each international dating site makes its own rules for its clients in order to observe the requirements of the law. Some of them make up a special form for American clients where they state all personal information about themselves; after they sign the form, it is submitted to the woman whose personal and/or contact information they want to obtain. We don't have a special form in our site because we believe that all necessary information should be given in the letters. As for interview in the US embassy, it is the woman who has it, and the form in question is not required from her there; what is required is confirmation of the fact that a woman knows everything about the man who is inviting her. It may be their correspondence, namely, the letter where a man asks a woman's permission to obtain her contact information, and documents of legal and financial character which man sent the woman so that she knew everything about him, as well as woman's answers to the questions about biography and status of the man. So, the woman is not going to have any problems in the interview even without this form – on condition that she knows everything about you and can prove it.
